Sips & Souls - Tip Policy

Eligibility

• Leads and Baristas: Participate in the tip pool.
• Trainees: Participate in the tip pool.
• Managers: Excluded from the tip pool. A manager may keep cash tips only when no tip-eligible employee was involved in providing the service.
• Owners: May not receive tips under any circumstances.

Credit Card Tips

Credit card tips are automatically pooled and split equally among tip-eligible employees clocked in at the time the tip is received. Distribution is included on regular paychecks.

Cash Tips

Whenever a tip-eligible employee clocks in or out, cash tips in the jar are divided equally among all tip-eligible employees who were on the clock before the change.

Recordkeeping

Tip pool calculations are documented and available to any employee upon request.
